Siarlys Evans
He was a member of the consultancy advising on the development of TECHNOPOLIS, the Flemish Science Centre, which opened in 2000. He is architectural advisor to the Arts Council of Wales. He has an interest in urban regeneration and is a member of the Civic Trust in Wales.He has worked across Europe and in Africa. He is an FRIBA and holds a Master's degree in facilities management. He has worked with the British Council in Finland and for the Government of Guyana and the Inter-American Bank. He has been involved in projects with museums and galleries in Poland and helped set up the Polish Museum Centre. He is a former university lecturer in management and has been a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Massey, New Zealand and Pierre Mendès France, Grenoble. He is Secretary to the International Council of Museums (ICOM) International Committee for the Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities (CAMOC) Noel Terrot
He is the founder of the annual Fontaine-en-Montagne festival, based in Grenoble, which is a showcase for the culture of the Alps. From local beginnings it has now assumed national importance. He is currently working on a project to set up an international centre on the economy, history, culture and ecology of the Alps. In 2000 he was awarded the Order of Merit by the French Government. She has also been employed by the Civic Trust to run their national Civic Trust Awards scheme, where her responsibilities included developing commercial sponsorship, liaising with heritage organisations local authority partners and civic societies. She has worked with community groups to prepare grant proposals and business plans for new community businesses. She holds a first degree from the University of Philadelphia and an MBA from Cranfield.
